well I finally got my 180sx out for some track time this weekend, and boy didn't it impress. Being out here in V8 bogan land, the crowd and odds were always against the little 180sx, but it showed up more than it's fair share of the bogans, including the officials and commentators

I ended up running a fastest time over the weekend of a 9.68secs @ 148km/h but unfortunately that time card has gone walkies, but I do have an official time card for a 9.90sec @ 144km/h pass.

The weekend was run with time trials and qualifying on saturday, then elimination runs up till lunch on sunday and finals/ grudge runs were held after lunch.

First run I went up against my mates 93 swift gti (the only other 4cylinder there), which after a hell load of wheelspin I beat. I then came up against a fully worked holden 1-tonner with a 308, I narrowly defeated him by about 0.08secs, the crowd and my pit drew went completely nuts when I beat him Then I got to line up next to a cortina drag car with a 302 and 14:1 compression, which I again defeated by about 0.1secs. Then I got a bye run into the finals

In the finals I came up against a worked 285 powered torana, which narrowly beat me by 0.06secs.

All in all I was very impressed with the way the 180sx ran, even thou I found it hard to get decent traction on the track with the tyres I was running.

Only problem for the weekend was that we stripped the internals out of two of the locknuts and couldn't get the "burnout" rims off after the races, it took a hammer, a socket, a pair of vice-grips and an angle grinder to remove them

These times are for the 1/8th mile aren't they, maybe Oran park?

I notice your terminal speeds are in km/h.
