Hi everyone,

Im in love with the colour RED. I am thinking of changing my calipers red.

Anyone has any idea how much it cost? Is this a simple task as I am no mechanic, just a fucken accountant.

Warm Regards,

i managed to do it in my own garage :) and im in oh&s / payroll!!

break caliper spray paint and/or engine enamel fire-truck red (thats what i used...they were out of the break caliper one)

jacked the front end of the car up took the wheels off and masked everything off real good (yes there was masking tape / newspaper everywhere i was that scared id get it on my car!)

and using a metal brush or a powertool with (scuse my er, lack of knowledge on tools / bits) with a round, metal looking brush, we got rid of all excess dust / rust spots on the break calipers.

after dusting the shit off we went ahead n sprayed it. turned out great! (I didnt do the "nissan" writting bit white though)

here r some piccies of the weird round hand held power tool. no i got my bf to do it cause i was scared of the thing

and this wasn't even HALF masked up yet,

wallah! looks a bit pinkish but thats cause my phone is shit quality, it really is a dark red.

yes you can all call it a dodgy do-it-yourself job but im happy with the results lol

but yeah its not that hard. its just a shame the dealers use some sort of paint eating cleaner on them so the standard black is eaten off!

id reccommend hi-gloss then :P

youll need heat proof paint. if you use normal stuff the heat will burn it off

LOL i only let him do it so if the thing fell off the end it'd hit him in the face not me! ... thats not too harsh is it?
im not too sure in making it glossy (as it has to be heat resistant) :/ im not that smart lol! its pretty glossy how it is, if you do 4 - 5 coats, thats what i did... but if you really want that true gloss finish im clueless :(
