And then there is the wiring head fuck you have when the car is either an auto or has been converted to a manual or even converted to an SR.

Been there a billion times too :-?

there cant be any, they were sold (and built) in japan the same years they were here. thus making them NOT eligible for import. rather compliance, im not talking about people with cams licences bringing in race cars

series one S14's do NOT require wiring modification to run a power fc. mine bolted straight in and started first go...

series 2 S14's and the S15 DO require two pins to be swapped around. from memory it's the fuel pump control relay pins, but don't quote me on that part,as I haven't actually done that myself.

Justin...

I've not installed a PFC into a series one, and didn't think about possible wiring difference's between series one/two.

Thank's for clearing that up :)

for info to all
s13, s14 s2 and s15 have the same ecu loom plug but cannot use the same ecu due to different sensors and voltage ranges
s14 s1 is the little black duck so to speak and is the only model with the long slim plug for the ecu

also different pin-out functions on the ECU itself would make a HUGE difference :P

ok, quick question bout the power fc.

i was looking at buying one for my car (im putting on a intercooler, hks ssq, z32 afm, 550cc injectors, walbro fuel pump, and possibly a new turbo) but was told the power fc couldnt handle an aftermarket AFM.

Now my question....were they talking out of their arse or does the powerfc struggle to cope with aftermarket AFM's? Also is the powerfc the best for this set up? (with the possiblity of upgrading the engine further eg biggest injectors and cams)
Also where are good places to buy and get the powerfc tuned in sydney? just looking for personal experiences and recommendations.

Yes they are blowing shit out of their arse. If you are planning on putting a Z32 AFM it will work.
