To upload pictures, you need to have an upload site that will host the pictures for you. http://www.ripway.com is a pretty good site, but it has a 5mb upload limit per every 24 hours. Its also free, so no worries there.

Type-X actually started in mid-late 94, when the 180sx got a blacktop Sr20 put in, The blacktop engine in 180sx are not the same as S14 and S15, ie none VTC. they are just painted black, and i believe some minor internal parts are different??

In 96, they got a facelift: Most noted change was the "Type-X" Rear light, the round ones that cost over $1000 to buy :(
Other changes were said before, interior etc.

I have 94 Model with a blacktop, awesome cars they are.

doesnt the type X signify the change of body kit, tailights, interior and wheels? cos there are 96 180sx with normal early model lights, kit, etc, and they werent denoted type X.....

i believe that type x was for the updated version intorduced in 96 only, which was available in a type S non turbo version, with same kit as type X

Type-X means Blacktop SR20DET, which came in 94.

96 update model is only a facelift within the Type-X Even without the tailight they were still called the Type-X because of the blacktop motor.

People mainly refer the 96+ models and not the 94 models because of the visiblel updates on the exterior.

lets not have all these '94 model ppl claiming they have a 'type x' tho..

the 'real' type x is the august 96-dec 98 model with the round lights etc etc

not really. i personally think that the only type x is the August 1996+ model, and anything previous is not a type x, but i have seen some (unofficial) documentation saying that a '94+ is also called a type x (but never by nissan)... so conclude what u will! :D
