The 180SX and S13 Silvia front end panels and lights (ie. the whole front end) are interchangable.

A 180SX with a Silvia front end is refered to as a 'Sileighty'. A Silvia with a 180SX front end is refered to as a 'Onevia'.

If you look around, it should be very easy to find pictures of both of these (particularly Sileighty's).

Oh I didn't know it was that simple. So how long would the process take? It should be easy hey? Does it cost much or just for the labour? So the interior and engine changes too? Sil80, Onevia sounds good haha, Does it affect the insurance?

something I havnt thaught of til now.... the 180sx has a headlight retract button on the lower right hand side ot the dash, this small button could be your biggest head ache .... like Mr Bitchy......"Please Consider!"

Thats not to mention the fuses next to the cpu on the passenger kick pannel. I am not saying that it is going to be hard to do... just research this befor you get too excited!!!

So how long would the process take?
Depends if you know what you're doing I guess.

It should be easy hey?
I would say no (mainly due to electricals). But it depends on your definition of easy and how thoroughly you research what needs to be done before you start.

Does it cost much or just for the labour?

I think paying a workshop to do it would be quite expensive, although it should get done in a day if they hook in so maybe around the $1k mark.

So the interior and engine changes too?

Well most parts of the interiors are the same and engines are exactly the same, so there isn't much you would need to change there.

Does it affect the insurance?

I have no idea, but good question. I would think not as it is only a cosmetic change.

I've heard it's easy if your the one with the 180sx, as you wouldn't need to much around with the electronics much, the lights/bulbs/sockets plug right into the silvia headlights.

The silvia would have all the trouble, installing the relays and such to make the headlights open and close.

Here is a link to someone who has performed the onevia conversion.

i know somebody that's done the onevia conversion already so they said they'd help if I had any probs with the electrics. i'm pretty sure that the Sil80 conversion wouldn't be half as confusing.

what about strawberry conversion things ive heard about. (i think its s15 front and 180/s13 rear)

would the s15 headlights be just as easy as this onevia/sileighty conversion?

the s15 strawberry face conversion would look interesting on a s13 silvia. but i like the sleek lines of a 180sx by it self

Strawberry-face is one of the most uber-sexual conversions that can be done to a 180... Admittedly, I like the standard lines, but they do look good.. There were a few threads about them a while back.... (Try searching).. THe only real prob is the cost, a) becuase of the cost of the parts, and b) becuase of the labour and custom work required (they don't bolt straight on unfortunately).
