Super Hicas, how exactly does it work? Look like? and would it interfer with changing a steering wheel? Also I am fitting a turbosmart bleed valve style boost controller. Just wondering if the correct vacuum line to connect it to is the one from the intercooler pipe to wastegate? Also which line for boost gauge? (where I put it now tells me I'm running 10 pounds of boost standard. That can't be right can it? I own a 1993 180sx SR20DET) |

If you have HICAS then you will see an hydraulic pump just infront of the driver side rear wheel with a couple of lines running to a small rack mounted behind the diff. It will have steering arms running to the rear side of the uprights for the wheels. The gauge can be plumbed into either the fuel reg pressure signal or the blowoff valve signal line. Both of these will give you both positive and negative pressure signals. Can't say about the bleed valve as i reckon you'd have a factory solenoid. If this has been disconnected it may be why you have a line from the IC pipe to the actuator. Plumb it in there. If you still have the solenoid in line then it's bit different. If you have an exhaust/cooler/pod then you will be seeing higher boost, around 10-12psi. |

You should need a specialised HUB, as apparently there is some form of sensor in that area. Ive seen a few hubs that cator for hicas equiped cars already. |
