just wondering how many owning of 180sx/silvia/s14/skyline have a flair gun in it. in the passager footwell. there are some clips there.

i had no idea wat it was when i found it in my car.

there are two clips on the passenger kick panel (where the ECU is) that hold the flare (small red cylinder)

It's not a flare gun, just a red handheld flare. Still fun though :)

the signal flare is used when ever your car happens to break down while driving over some railway tracks, and there is an oncomming train heading in your direction.

its all true, that is the diagram given in my japanese manual

A lot of importers take the flare gun out of the car for some reason... Mine hasn't got one. :cry:

whenever i think of the flare i have this image of some little japanese dude getting a flat tyre then pulling over and lighting his flare to signal a helicopter to come rescue him......weird or what.......

It was for the japanese guys who get lost after drifting at night. When they fall down the cliff or are in the woods sumwhere. Thats what they are for. They should come equip in every jap car. But some stole mine! I wanted to try it out.

Somewhere there are alot of importers running around having fun with all your flare guns it seems :P, i know if i was an importer none of the cars i sold would have one in it still :P

the flares that come in our cars are shitty piss weak ones, not the same as the ones u see in those european football matches that eventuates into a riot.
