Why you aiming to beat it? Can never know for sure but there is a purple 180 that was in Zoom or HPI running low 11s (like 11.3), and the guy was wanting to get into the 10s, it runs a two speed Powerglide auto, so it was strictly drag, a guy in a red 180sx here Syd runs 12.1 (try'n to crack 11s), people underestimate what is actually needed to get low times (esp in street trim and on street tyres and pump fuel)

my goal is to crack the 11's eventually

i got the gear for a 12sec pass, but yes, you would not believe how much more $$$ you have to throw at the car before it can do 11's especially in street trim.

Subs add weight :D so do bodykits, bling bling rims etc.

ummm the guy who used to own my car, claimed to run a very fast time (faster then wat has been posted) on slicks with c16 fuel but i didnt see a time slip so i wont quote it. Im not sure if DEXTER ran it on the strip either. But it needs slicks because of traction issues.
But when im confident the little issues are fixed ill give it a hit. Just tryin to save up for semi-slicks.

ya i know the guy, hes running a gtrs hks turbo and recently rebuilt as well.
its setup as a drift car but pulls good times down the quarter.

but i think in a few weeks we will be seeing a quicker 180 if bez finished off his 180

I think street tyres, street trim and keeping it street legal is where it's at.It keeps a more level playing field.
That's part of the reason why some of the most acknowledged records in Japan belong to street tyred/road registered cars.

Stripping your car to the bullshit, using slicks, racing fuel and throwing ridiculous amounts of $$ towards your engine and suspension is pretty unrealistic. It's best left to the Pro's.

In saying that, i haven't answered your question..sorry!

yeah im going to try and beat this by the end of the year thats why im selling everythingout of my car and starting the car again from scratch...
going more for go than show now but it looks like there is alot of competition for people now tryin to have australias quickest 180sx...

the only thing is if i should go auto or manual??? i wouldn't mind a 2 or 3 speed auto but it would prob be shit if u drove it on the street... but it would prob be better over the quarter

not an answer but if i was u i would go auto ..... just to put it in to prospective(spelling)
my missus silvia (auto)
Vs
RB powered silvia (manual)

sure u got me off the lights but every time he changed gear i drove past him

that is unless your got a mad off its head dog box and just flat change like a loony

if i was going just strictly drag, first i would rob a bank - and i would go auto - use a powerglide shift system - those things are awesome and they are ok to drive on the street too - my cousin has one in his 600hp Ford 351 Super Street Car.
