Car: 1990 nissan180sx 1991 nissan 300 zx TT
Taking out the c18det and fitting a sr20det, what bits do i need?, so far iv'e been told i need the sr20 cross member and engine mounts, what about the tailshaft also somebody said the radiator is diferent to.
Any body done this before and can confirm what i need.

why?

sr20 was a stock engine for that car, he doesn't need to get engineering, nissan did it all for him.

If your putting a CA18DE, CA18DET, SR20DE or SR20DET in an S13 then you DON'T need an engineers certificate as the motor was already released in the S13. All you need is a blue slip to change the Engine Number down at the RTA.

I did a CA18DE -> SR20DET swap and I only needed a blue slip, so did DumHed and Snezy...

thats true, that what i did,justa blueslip, but when i spoke to an RTA inspection guy he said u need an engineer's cert if the engine ur putting in makes 15% more power than original engine.

also, changing over to the sr20det brake booster,mastre cyl would be good also, ur fuel pump may also need to be changed, depending on how it is after 10 years, mine did, and neede to be swapped
