Damn my incredible strength... I was screwing my fuel cap back in tonight, but it just kept going :o I pulled it out only to find the whole filler mechanism come out with it, coated in some black crap that I'm hoping is either a nissan part for osme kind of metal-to-metal, fuel resistant glue.

Anyone know what I spy?

Thats pretty bodge.

The unleaded filler neck should have been tack welded in, but to do that they have to remove the filler neck so that was never going to happen.

I say re bodge it, but this time use epoxy not silicone :)

epoxy is arayldite (i think you spell it like that) anyway its the one where you mix two stinky substances together, remembering NOT to get any on your fingers while you are touching things. Just remember Jim in American Pie two when he watches that 'Movie' in his room :)
