Yeah, it wont bolt up, would acyually require a fair bit of work to make fit.

If it has been rebuilt with steel wheels then it would be a good proposition for top end power but would be a bit laggy compared to an s15 turbo (virtually bolt up) which will be a better all round performer and still give a fair whack of top end

T3 off a Skyline has a T3 flange while a SR or CA has a T2 flange so it will not bolt directly on. You are better off going for a T28 off a S15 or a HKS 2530.

It will bolt right up, as long as you get a new manifold with a T3 flange as well...

Possibly you can get an adaptor plate made up? Check with an exhaust shop. I would only do this if it ended up being real cheap. What about things like water/oil lines? Have you checked those will match up?

checked out the flange, yup totally diffrent
oil and water lines arent too much of a hassle since braided lines can be made for this.

going to add up the costs and see whats better the r33 turbo or t25 flange turbo

currently doing the manual conversion in the workshop.. got the auto tranny out today, will be putting in the manual gearbox in tommorow, and on wednesday fixing the bugs "if everything goes ok".

ill write a write up about the manual conversion once its all done :)

hey guys i work at unique auto sports and we actually had a peron trying to do that turbo conversion and for some reason the sr 20 just didnt like the r33 turbo.....

beat would be to go for a s15 high flow turbo.

we did that conversion to a s13 and u would be quite suprised with the results.

Probably because the R33 turbo is designed for a lot more flow, if it's quite steep on the left hand side of the map then it will be well out of it's efficiency range. I don't think I've got the map for the R33 (got the GTR but not GTS) but that would be my guess.

On an SR an S15 turbo is killer, just brilliantly matched. Once you put cams in to open up the engine the results have really redefined everyones concept of what can be achieved with a small oem turbo.
