I thought there was a "u" there somewhere, I was expecting to get bagged for spelling it wrong, not right.

Clearly I only bought the hong kong knockoff handbags for ma ho's, they're spelt "vitton"

So why would I change my stock diff? I rarely visit the track and use my car as a daily driver. What benefits can I reap? As you can see, I've read the entire thread and still have no better understanding of diff stuff :D

Basically the car actually starts to drive like a RWD. With the OEM diffs the rear end is there but it pretty much doesn't join in, it's just lounging about enjoying the ride. Once a real diff goes in the rear comes alive, you get genuine drive off the apex, you get to steer the car with the right foot, you get to hang it out and know exactly what it's going to do. Put simply, the car comes alive.

well what's being said is that the diff is an excellent thing to upgrade, certainly before doing the turbo - which has already been put on the list apparently.

Absolutely no doubt I'd be changing the diff before the turbo. In fact, unless I was getting serious and doing internals etc I wouldn't change the S15 turbo, just a waste of money IMO.

My plans are to change the turbo last, if at all. Never considered changing the diff, I might look into it further.

Dropped into Proconcept and there was this pewter S15 on Simmons. This ride had every conceiveable mod I can ever imagine plus more - but minus a turbo upgrade. I dont know who's car this is, I think I remember Josh saying she belonged to an NSCC member. He said the car can pull over 220rwkw. If a car can crank those figures out on the stock hair dryer, then I'm more than happy to leave my stock as is.

Also, this beast had a traction control system in it...

The green S14a sitting over to the right has quite a few more mods and the blue S15 next to it is in the middle of getting quite a few more mods as well :) Oh, and the pewter S15's owner is currently planning some more mods .......... but atm keeping the standard turbo (yes, we'll get more power)

Depends how much boost your going to run and what car you have, if you run into fuel cut problems because of your boost level then its time to get one:)

No, don't run it. There are only 2 reasons you'll get a fuel cut on your car. One is when the MAF maxes out and the other is when the injectors max out, neither are a cut you want to ignore if you like your engine in a working rather than blown up and in bits state.
