hey guys, thought someone here might have some experience with this..

basically ive bought a digital tv tuner for my pc, and thus need an antenna feed/signal for it. Ive tried several indoor antennas including ones with amplifiers and none are adequate in getting all the stations in the one position, infact its lucky if you get one. the only wall outlet we have in the house is downstairs so wiring isnt an option.

so im looking for a wireless transmitter to send the signal from downstairs to my room upstairs. ive seen several transmitters with RCA lead inputs, but i need one that has the standard tv antenna plug input. any got any suggestions/ideas ?

you cant really transmit those signals easily. being that they are already being transmitted through the air

your best bet is to extend the RF co-axial to the room where you want the socket.

ahh of course.. unless the signal was converted, transmitted then decoded. hmmm

the routing of the cabling would be somewhat unreasonable. i'll see what other options i have

i knew you would know something :P

i know something, dumhed is your man! he knows all lol

how about this one;

if its a USB tv tuner, get a USB extended and chuck the box down at the socket. then i guess you still have the cabling problem.

you might need to put the whole pc down there, and then use wifi to transmit the signal via a web browser or something? xb360 or media centre?

There's a couple of wireless TV/video transmitters around which people use for closed circuit cameras and just ordinary TV's, they run on a 2.4ghz signal usually so indoors they're kind of mixed as to what kind of result you get out of them.

they will only transmit composite video and stereo audio. he wants to transmit the entire TV frequency spectrum - including digital - up to his room. which is next to impossible :P
