What's absolutely hilarious is that no-one there thought to hook the tow line on the other side of the car to pull it out of the snow bank, intead of into it. And worse, when it didn't work, what do they do? Keep pulling. The roads looked pretty slippery, why not just hook it up to one of the 'import hooks' up front and swing the front end around?

you can see into the boot in that, looks like it was actually hooked up to the two point but the car was probably made like a ford

I think it had more to do with how rusted out the rear end of the car was than anything else. cars won't just peel apart like that with only that amount of force applied.
