my navigation software tells me its a 'circle' in her american-electronic voice. and yeah they dont have them. australia being cheap think its cheaper to put them in

There are round a bouts in USA, but no where near as frequent as here.

Which is why its possible to travel for hours and not come across one, then when you do you have no idea how they work.

after just being there recently, i have to say there road system is almost 100 times better then ours

i dont think i saw a single roundabout while there - there wasnt a single residential street which was used more like a main road like here, and on top of that we still have the 50 limit on these roads, which is the biggest gripe i have of sydney roads

and 'traffic' meant travelling around 30km/h, cars never stopped, unless at lights...
