A fish is swimming down a stream and sees a fly circling above the water. He thinks to himself, "When that fly passes over Im going to jump out and catch it."
Meanwhile, a bear is on the bank and notices that when the fly goes past, the fish will jump and he will grab the fly.
A hunter sees the bear, and thinks, "when the fly passes, the fish will jump up, the bear will grab it and I will pop up and shoot the bear".
Behind the hunter sits a rat, he has seen what is going on also. "When the fly passes, the fish will jump, the bear will grab the fish, the hunter will pop up, and I will snatch the sandwich out of his pocket."
A cat is behind the rat. "When the fly passes, the fish will jump, the bear will grab the fish, the hunter will pop up, that rat there will go for the sandwich and I will grab the rat and eat it!"
So, the fly flies past, the fish springs from the water and is caught by the bear, the hunter jumps into action and shoots the bear dropping his sandwhich which the rat grabs. The cat jumps too early, misses the rat and falls in the stream.
The moral of the story is, it takes a lot to get a pussy wet.
