Hey guys, thought I'd join the forums since im getting my mitsubishi express van this month


it doesn't have powersteering and Aircon

just wondering how hard it is to get both of these luxuries installed


IT's a Blacktop.. if that helps

Well, I know they're both very easy to remove!

Fitting the power steering pump and aircon compressor will take very little time (assuming there's room for them in the engine bay), but getting them to mate with the Mitsubishi steering rack and aircon system will almost certainly require custom piping. Then you've got to squeeze an aircon condenser in somewhere (if it doesn't have one already).

Basically, it's going to be a nightmare.

On the other hand, it might be easier for you to source a Mitsubishi power steering pump and aircon compressor and have custom brackets made to fit them on to the SR. Then you should be able to use the standard Mitsubishi piping.

Yeah the sr20 is efficient alright!

thanks cypher, I'll give a mechanic a bell.

anyone got the PS and AC components from a mitsubishi van ? !
