maybe measure it up then call liverpool exhaust or xforce or some exhaust place that does performance cars. Someone is bound to have one.

In fact if you post its size someone may have one kicking around that they dont use which would fit.

true,someone may have something suitable.

if not,X force make quite a few different sizes, and sell them separately.

I picked up a pair of odd-sized butt-plugs for my wagon's dual exhaust a while back off the shelf at autojoy in parramatta, back when my girlfriend had a honda. cost me $60 for both IIRC.
they may be worth a try.

or just install a mid muffler!

Same performance, less noise!

I got a HKS Super Dragger on my car and its still more quieter than a stock V8 SS.

I think you need to actually have a muffler before you put a butt plug in one Iain...

Not a lot from my experience.. and mine was super resctrictive (the tube was a piece of 2" exhaust about 10" long, squashed and welded shut, with holes blown in it with an oxy for flow...

Mid muffler is the way to go..

I've been toying witbh the idea of making a side-exit exhaust for my 86 but don't think I could live with the noise, much less inflict it on others.

the car's previous setup was std manifold and secondaries, with an S15 cat, short resonator, an offset muffler before the diff, and another after, all 2 1/2". made 86db at 3500rpm unloaded. I shudder to think what open pipes would be like. I'd need earplugs for sure at 9k rpm WOT.
