Anybody on here running one of these ? I've read some good reviews but would like to hear from someone with first hand experience on how easy it bolts up, how quickly it spools (SR20DET) etc.

Specs wise it looks very similar to a HKS GTRS but the GT28RS is only $1800

Also seen some good reviews. But have wondered if they are any good on an SR. I am probably going to get flamed for this but I really rekon the GTRS is a bloody rip off.
There are some just as good offerings from AVO and the like that are way cheaper and seem to deliver very much the same results.

installed one of these in my mate's car with SS autochrome manifold.
Had machined the engine mount down a fair bit to clear the compressor housing. Pirtek took care the water and oil lines. Got new 4inch mild steel inlet pipe and intercooler pipes.

First impression on the road , wheres the lag? Suprisingly it spools up very fast, 7psi by 3000rpm. Pulls hard compare to my car at 13psi (standard manifold, turbo). My mate even regreting for not going bigger lol. The smaller GT28RS would be very streetable.

Will take pics if anyone interested.

With the HKS GTRS going for as little as 2100 (In the Group By) it can now be classified as a bang for buck mod !

you should skim around in the http://forums.freshalloy.com advanced 240sx forum. do a search for "disco potato" or gt28rs. apparently it's not that much better than a stock s15 unit, maybe 15-20kw more flow.

an hks gt-rs it's not.

Thanks Dry i've never been to those forums, ill check them out.

Just found out you can get the GT28RS for $1550 from PRO100 on nissansilvia !

If it can flow 15-20kw more than a s15 turbo then it should be good for 220-240rwkw with the right supporting mods.

You would think it would support more considering the .86 exhaust housing ?
