Ok, so when I changed my wastegate actuator, i didnt do one of the bracket bolts up enough and its come off. lucky there are two!!

anyway, does anyone know the width and pitch of the thread? my guess is an M8x1.5. but i dont want to buy them and be wrong. its a bitch trying to get my hands in there without removing half the car before i do that. Not that i mind, ive only done it 20 times now hahah

ohh and whats the approx depth also? from memory the original bolts had 15mm or so of thread.

thanks guy!

They are an M8 either 1.5 or 1.25. It's the same thread as my intercooler mounts funnily enough or i'd have a couple of spares you could have :)

dont worry about the length, get something long enough and you make it adjustable with the trusty angle grinder :)

hi, while we're on this topic, does anyone know what the threads are where the dump pipe joins on, would they be m8, with a pitch of 1.25 aswell?

M10x1.25 is the stock T2x size AFAIK

as for the length, if you are using an aftermarket dump, the flange on the turbo side might not be as thick as the stock dump and heat shields.

something around 40mm long should be ok for the bolts, the nuts will also be M10x1.25. make sure you use high tensile however!

well, im only assuming because people use their standard nuts and bolts on all their aftermarket T2x turbos, my T28 (XTR) uses M10x1.25 also and its aftermarket. i used my stock bolts and nuts

well the ones that came out are m8s, problem is they were all differnt lengths and pitches. so i thought ill replace them all with the correct ones.

just hoping the threads havnt been damaged.

so if they were m8s instead of m10s would they be 1.25 or 1.5 do you know?
