Hey Peter, Ill take it. Pickup might have to wait till next weekend now though. Otherwise I can flow you some dosh and you can send it down Wollongong way. Ive seen similar things in action so that part is okay.

Any other software for it that supports Consult II?
i.e. I'm especially interested in clearing error codes and such. My stupid airbag light keeps coming on and every time I take it to Nissan they just clear it and charge me $50  Getting pissed off with it, 3 times already

Gunmetal: if its not too much trouble then pickup next weekend is preferable for me. (or next time ur in sydney...aside from mondays any time with notice should be ok)

best software for it thus far is nissan datascan, which is $25 (you can buy it for me and i pass the money and ur name/email onto the software owner for updates/etc), however theres plenty of free software out, such as calumsult, tecu, and odbscantech. pga forums have a list of current software here: http://forum.pulsar.org.au/showthread.php?t=30057

ivanhoe - what car so u have (s15? - this is consult 1 isnt it?) - clearing codes might be possible...im not sure. do u have the old style consult connector (ie consult 1 grey) or the new odb one? if its definitely a consult2 thing then there's not much that can be done about it i dont think...not really sure.

It will work on the s15 but you can't access the air bag module to clear the codes its only for the engine ECU.

I have a list of vehicles I have used one on if anyones interested I could post it up.

brad mentioned the body control module that u take out for 5 minutes then put back in could be the cause - did u have any luck finding this?

i might have time to make a minor change to a test board of mine, if u want to come around again (or meet u in the city) and give it another shot then i could do that - then if it works i can make u a proper one within a few weeks when parts and more connectors arrive. ill let u know

zei - if you mean the door switch thing 7x ignition or whatever it was, I tried that. Didn't help.
The stupid thing comes on whenever I hit a pothole and Nissan guys don't know what's wrong or how to fix it, so they just clear the error code
If you meant something else, please do tell...

damn i dont sorry

a bump? sounds like a loose wire or a grounding problem.

you might want to pull up your back seat and make sure the airbag computer is in tight
